Vision

The vision of Hashemite University’s Bachelor of Sports Rehabilitation Program is to be recognized as a leading program in sports rehabilitation in Jordan and the wider region, distinguished by its contribution to advancing athlete healthcare, physical function, and quality of life across diverse populations. The program aspires to achieve this distinction through excellence in education, evidence-informed clinical practice, scholarly inquiry, leadership, professional service, and meaningful community engagement.

The mission of Hashemite University’s Bachelor of Sports Rehabilitation Program is to develop highly competent athletic therapists who are grounded in patient-centered care and committed to advancing the health, function, and well-being of athletes and the broader community. Through rigorous academic preparation, clinical excellence, and professional formation, the program cultivates graduates who demonstrate lifelong commitment to professional growth, assume meaningful leadership roles, and advocate for the continued advancement and recognition of the sports rehabilitation profession.

Program Objectives

The Bachelor of Sports Rehabilitation Program seeks to achieve the following objectives:

  1. Recruit, admit, retain, and graduate highly qualified students who demonstrate the academic ability, professional commitment, ethical disposition, and personal attributes necessary for success in sports rehabilitation and allied healthcare settings.
  2. Advance faculty excellence through sustained engagement in teaching innovation, clinical practice, scholarly inquiry, professional development, community service, and leadership within the sports rehabilitation profession.
  3. Deliver a rigorous, evidence-informed, and competency-based curriculum that develops students’ knowledge, clinical reasoning, practical skills, and professional behaviors across the full scope of sports rehabilitation, including foundational sciences, injury prevention, assessment, therapeutic intervention, patient/client care, health promotion, wellness, and healthcare administration.
  4. Provide diverse, progressive, and supervised clinical education experiences that expose students to the breadth of contemporary sports rehabilitation practice across athletic, clinical, community, and performance-based settings.
  5. Prepare graduates to deliver patient-centered, ethical, culturally responsive, and evidence-based care that enhances health, function, performance, and quality of life for athletes and physically active individuals across the lifespan.
  6. Foster interprofessional collaboration by preparing students to communicate and work effectively with healthcare providers, coaches, sport scientists, educators, administrators, and community stakeholders.
  7. Integrate advanced technology, simulation, digital learning tools, and state-of-the-art facilities to enhance teaching, clinical skill acquisition, student assessment, and professional readiness.
  8. Establish a culture of continuous quality improvement through systematic assessment of student learning outcomes, clinical education effectiveness, graduate performance, stakeholder feedback, and alignment with national and international professional standards.
  9. Promote leadership, professional advocacy, lifelong learning, and community engagement to strengthen the visibility, credibility, and impact of the sports rehabilitation profession locally, regionally, and internationally.
