Welcome to the Prince Al-Hussein Bin Abdullah II Faculty of Information Technology at The Hashemite University.

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Faculty of Information Technology, where excellence in education, research, innovation, and community engagement form the foundation of our mission. Since its establishment, the faculty has been committed to preparing highly qualified graduates equipped with the knowledge, technical expertise, and professional skills required to lead the rapidly evolving digital world and contribute to the advancement of society.

The Faculty comprises four academic departments: the Department of Computer Science and Applications, the Department of Computer Information Systems, the Department of Software Engineering, and the Department of Information Technology. Together, these departments offer a diverse portfolio of undergraduate programs spanning the major computing disciplines, including Computer Science and Applications, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, Business Information Technology, Cybersecurity, and Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.

Our academic programs combine rigorous theoretical foundations with extensive practical experience through modern laboratories, project-based learning, industrial training, research opportunities, and strong partnerships with industry. The curricula are continuously updated to reflect emerging technologies, international best practices, and the evolving needs of the local, regional, and global labor markets.

At the Faculty of Information Technology, we believe that education extends beyond the classroom. Our programs are aligned with the Jordan National Qualifications Framework (JNQF) and comply with the national accreditation and quality assurance requirements of Jordan. In addition, the Faculty is committed to internationally recognized quality standards through accreditation by the Computing Accreditation Commission (CAC) of ABET for its computing programs and the EUR-ACE® Framework Standards and Guidelines for its Software Engineering program. These achievements and ongoing accreditation efforts reflect our dedication to academic excellence, continuous improvement, and preparing graduates who are highly competitive in the national, regional, and international job markets.
