Welcome to Queen Rania Faculty of Tourism & Heritage
The Faculty was established in September 2000 to assume an important role with collaborators within and outside the university to provide assistance and support to enhance sustainable management of natural, environmental and cultural resources throughout Jordan. The Faculty started to accept students in the year 2001/2002.
Due to the increase in field work at significant archaeological sites and growth of cultural tourism, and as a result of new political and social developments in our region, a new set of problems have recently emerged. These include problems related to the maintenance and administration of sensitive cultural resources; Jordanian experts in the field of archaeology are not always equipped to cope with them.
