The updated version of the national guidelines for early detection and diagnosis of breast cancer in Jordan has been officially launched with the participation of the Faculty of Medicine at Hashemite University. .
Welcome to the Faculty of Medicine
The decision to establish the college was issued as of the academic year 2005/2006, and the college began accepting its first batch of students as of the beginning of the academic year 2006/2007. The university signed a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Health and the Royal Medical Services that included many articles that contribute to the development of medical fields and the exchange of scientific and practical expertise in the field of human medicine and training medical students in its hospitals and other areas of joint cooperation between the two parties, which contributes to raising the level of students graduating from the college. The college grants the degree of Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), and the degree of higher specialization in internal medicine, pediatrics, general surgery, and obstetrics and gynecology. The college aspires to establish advanced specialization programs in various clinical departments. Currently, there are more than 118 faculty members contributing to international projects, 3140 students currently enrolled, 7% of whom are international students, and 2011 graduates who demonstrate exceptional professional achievements worldwide. The college is equipped with a modern Clinical Skills Centre, digital anatomy rooms and other advanced laboratories. The college collaborates nationally and regionally with the Ministry of Health, the Royal Medical Services and the private sector. The Doctor of Medicine (MD) programme in 2024 was awarded a 5-star rating, the highest rating according to QS standards, making it the only undergraduate medical programme in the Kingdom to achieve this accomplishment.
