About the Faculty of Educational Sciences and Human Development

The Faculty of Educational Sciences and Human Development is one of the leading faculties at The Hashemite University. Established in 1995, it has played a pioneering role in preparing educational professionals, academic leaders, and specialists while contributing to the advancement of educational knowledge and community development.

Aligned with its renewed vision, the Faculty adopts an integrated approach that combines educational sciences with human development. It focuses on nurturing individuals’ cognitive, professional, leadership, and social competencies while promoting innovation, lifelong learning, digital transformation, and the effective use of artificial intelligence in education. This approach responds to the demands of sustainable development and the rapidly evolving global educational landscape.

The Faculty currently comprises four academic departments:

Department of Educational Foundations and Administration
Department of Curriculum and Instruction
Department of Educational Psychology and Counseling
Department of Art Education
In addition, the Faculty offers undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as the Higher Diploma Program for Teacher Preparation. It continues to pursue the development of innovative academic programs in educational leadership, human development, educational measurement and evaluation, and technical and vocational education to better align graduates’ competencies with societal needs and labor market demands.

Over the past three decades, the Faculty has experienced sustained growth in its academic offerings, research productivity, and community outreach initiatives. Supported by a distinguished body of faculty members, it continues to advance educational knowledge, improve educational practices, and establish impactful partnerships with local, regional, and international institutions.

The Faculty aspires to become a national and regional reference center in teacher preparation, educational leadership, evidence-based education, and digital educational arts through academic excellence, applied research, innovation, and meaningful community engagement.
