Useful Information for International Attendees
Airport of Arrival and Entry Visa: Queen Alia International Airport, located 35km south of Amman is the main international airport in Jordan and
serviced by many global airline carriers.
A valid passport is necessary for visitors coming to Jordan. Citizens from a number of countries do not require prior visa clearance and can obtain their visas upon arrival at the airport. Please visit this website for information about entry visa to Jordan:

Local Transportation: the conference organizers will arrange transport for conference attendees from/to the Hashemite University, hotels and Queen Alia International Airport. Conference attendees willing to use this service are requested to forward their flight arrival and departure times to the conference committee in advance of their flight dates.
Additionally, Airport Taxi and Express busses are available 24/7, in addition to Rent-a-Car offices. Yellow-painted taxis are inexpensive and often the most convenient form of transportation in Jordan, even over distances between cities, such as the trip between Amman and the Dead Sea.
Currency Exchange: the local currency in Jordan is the Jordanian Dinar, symbol JD. Currency can be exchanged at major banks, exchange booths and at most hotels.
Besides having the first day of the event to be held at the Hashemite University, the second day of sessions and your stay will take place at Gerasa Hotel (https://www.gerasahotel.com/ ), you need to make a reservation through the Hashemite University to get the reduced daily rate for the single room with breakfast of 43 JD (61$), just send your request for reservation to mairna@hu.edu.jo .
Please be aware that May is a peak season, so it would be appreciated and more convenient to send your request ASAP.
Unfortunately, accommodation and travel expenses are not covered by the conference.
