Conference Background

In a world marked by rapid social, technological, and economic change, early childhood remains the cornerstone of human personality and a key driver of sustainable development. Investing in this critical stage is not merely a traditional educational concern; it is an investment in the present and future of societies.

At the same time, inclusive education has emerged as a significant expression of equity and social justice in education, ensuring that no child is excluded from learning and development opportunities due to disability, diversity, or social background. Inclusive education is no longer optional; it is a humanitarian and educational imperative, reinforced by international conventions and global commitments to children's rights and quality of life.

Against this backdrop, the International Conference on Early Childhood and Inclusive Education: Reality, Challenges, and Future Directions seeks to serve as a leading academic and professional platform that bridges theory and practice. The conference will bring together researchers, experts, practitioners, and policymakers to exchange perspectives, showcase successful experiences, and explore innovative solutions to current challenges while envisioning the future of inclusive education.

Beyond highlighting issues and challenges, the conference aims to stimulate meaningful change, foster effective partnerships, and generate actionable recommendations that contribute to equitable and inclusive educational environments from the earliest years of children's lives, ensuring equal opportunities for growth, learning, and flourishing for all children. The Hashemite University, represented by the Queen Rania Faculty for Childhood, is organizing the International Conference on Early Childhood and Inclusive Education: Reality, Challenges, and Future Directions, to be held at The Hashemite University on 21–22 April 2027.

The conference will address the following themes:

  1. Curricula and Educational Practices in Early Childhood.
  2. Child Development and Psychological and Social Well-being in Inclusive Contexts.
  3. Policies and Legislation Supporting Early Childhood and Inclusive Education.
  4. Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Technology in Early Childhood and Inclusive Education.
  5. Building Inclusive and Stimulating Learning Environments.
  6. Quality of Early Childhood and Inclusive Education Programs.
