The center was officially announced in 2018, According to the legal Instructions, No. (9) of 2018.

"The instructions of the Pharmacy Management and Pharmaceutical Care Innovation Center (PM&PCIC) and patient care",

However, the plan to establish such a center was agreed upon back in the year 2014. When a pioneering center for Medicines Optimisation and Medicines Innovation center was established in The United Kingdom (Queens University Belfast and Antrim Area Hospital). The PM&PCIC is the 1^st of its class in the local and regional area (Arab world),  It is great to be hosted by the Hashemite University in Jordan.
