Open and Scientific Days
The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Hashemite University is committed to engaging its students in scientific and professional activities that enhance their academic and practical skills. Key events include:
- The 8th Scientific Day for Zarqa Pharmacists, held in collaboration with the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences under the theme “The Pharmacy Profession in the Silver Jubilee: Progress and Excellence” on May 11, 2024. [News Link]

Student Initiatives
- “Shahama” Student Leadership Initiative.
- Treasure Hunt competition in collaboration with the Ahli Bank (Kon Wallet) with prizes worth 1000 JOD.
- Debate course with the participation of around 50 students.
- Health Awareness Day on Diabetes with the participation of 9 pharmaceutical companies.
- Learn About Diabetes program with Omar – supported by Mega Lab.
- Winter Clothing Drive to collect and distribute clothes to students and charities.
- Free English Language Course with nearly 1,000 participants, including 100–200 pharmacy students.
- Participation of students in the Second National Youth Dialogue Conference (student Karam Qazaqzeh represented the Faculty). [News Link]
- Organization of a 5-a-side football league among student cohorts in cooperation with the Faculty of Sports.
Free Medical Days
In collaboration with the Center for Studies, Consultation, and Community Service, the Faculty organized a Free Medical Day at the Usrat Al-Jundi Association – Zarqa on December 27, 2023, where faculty members and fifth-year students provided patient counseling and free screenings.
Topics covered included:
- Oral contraceptives.
- Asthma devices and medications.
- Gestational diabetes and type 1 diabetes, and insulin injection techniques.
- Antibiotics and their misuse.
- Cough medications and immunity boosters.
- Effects of anticoagulants during pregnancy.
- Food–drug interactions.
- Bone and joint health.
- Patient counseling for chronic medications.
