Community Pharmacy (1) – 2 Credit Hours (8 Weeks of Training)
This course provides students with the fundamentals of field training in community pharmacy within a framework of essential skills, complemented by weekly discussions of diseases related to body systems, including the respiratory system, endocrinology, cardiovascular system, pain management, and ophthalmology.
The course also covers:

Introduction to professional behavior, including responsibility and commitment.

Overview of pharmaceutical manufacturers and warehouses in Jordan.

Introduction to pharmacy management systems available in the Jordanian market.

Structured knowledge in four domains:

Basics of pharmaceutical practice.

Patient communication skills.

Fundamentals of pharmacy management.

Reference guidelines at three levels: drug science, pharmacy practice, and therapeutic practice.
Additionally, students are required to deliver weekly group seminars to practice presentation skills and meet professional evaluation standards.

Community Pharmacy (2) – 2 Credit Hours (8 Weeks of Training)
This experiential course helps pharmacy students understand the role of pharmacists in community and hospital practice settings. Students will spend the majority of their training time (at least 224 hours) in hands-on practice, interacting with pharmacists, technicians, peers, healthcare providers, and patients.
The training focuses on:

Integrating pharmaceutical and medical knowledge and applying it to patient care, particularly in outpatient settings.

Understanding the pharmacist’s role in patient care within hospitals, with emphasis on essential hospital medications.

Strengthening communication and interpersonal skills to build constructive relationships with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.

Developing professional behavior and adherence to pharmacy practice ethics.
