OWSD WISDOM
In the face of ongoing conflicts, violence, human rights violations, and climate change, a significant number of women scientists are forced to leave from their homes and countries. Many of them are not able to resume their studies after experiencing displacement.
The Women in Science Displacement Outreach Master's Program (OWSD WISDOM) is a new initiative addressing the challenges these women encounter.
Hashemite University and UNESCO OWSD are partnering to offer fully-funded master's degree scholarships to those women who have sought refuge in Jordan.
The 2024 OWSD WISDOM fully funded Master’s scholarships are offered to women refugee students pursuing master's degrees in the natural, engineering, information, and technology sciences. A full list of eligible scientific fields can be consulted here.
If interested to apply, the process is as follows:
STEP 1) apply to Hashemite University before 15/04/2024
STEP 2) outcome of HU application will be communicated to you in April 2024
STEP 3) if selected for the HU programme, then you will be recommended for inclusion in the OWSD WISDOM Scholarship programme and you will also be invited to submit supporting documentation (in April-May 2024)
STEP 4) Awarded candidates will be informed of the outcome latest by August 2024
