The deanship of academic development and international outreach organizes faculty academic workshops targeting newly-appointed faculty members, lecturers and research and teaching assistants. These workshops are essential requirements to be fulfilled in furtherance of any faculty academic promotion. During the last two years, three hundred and eighty-one newly-appointed faculty members participated in faculty academic workshop. This workshop consists of two parts:

- methods of effective university students’ evaluation
- how to design an enhanced course portfolio
- how to design a course syllabus and outline
- traditional place-based classroom learning, blended learning and distance learning
- strategies of successful distance learning and evaluation
- how to write a proposal to secure scientific research sponsorship
- the importance of national and international partnerships and their effective ways to secure research funds.
