Overview of the Center

The idea of establishing this center originated from the reality of the large number of individuals with disabilities (especially children) in Jordan, and to enhance the Hashemite University’s role in serving the community.
The Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, in collaboration with other faculties at the Hashemite University, received support from the World Bank to complete the project due to its significant contribution to serving people with disabilities in the local community in Zarqa Governorate and its surroundings. The center was completed within the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences at the end of the second semester of the 2009/2010 academic year, and was officially inaugurated by His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein—may God protect him—on February 14, 2011.
