Memorandum of Understanding with the Dhlail Women’s Association – Zarqa:
This agreement aims to provide technical support to the Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) program overseen by the association in collaboration with the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
• The target group of this agreement includes persons with disabilities across all disability categories, as well as professionals working in CBR programs.
• The partnership seeks to build the technical capacities of CBR workers in the Dhlail area, including diagnostic and rehabilitation services, to promote the rights of persons with disabilities and their families.
• Both parties will work jointly, sharing their expertise to ensure the success of the CBR program in both Dhlail and Hallabat regions.
• The agreement promotes active participation of persons with disabilities and their families in community development and decision-making processes on issues that affect their lives.
• Awareness and media campaigns will be organized to promote the rights of persons with disabilities and highlight their ability to contribute to their communities and lead independent lives.
Memorandum of Understanding with the Community-Based Rehabilitation Centers for Persons with Disabilities – UNRWA:
This agreement aims to establish mutual technical support between both parties, including:
• Strengthening collaboration in providing rehabilitation services for persons with disabilities within target communities through the exchange of expertise, competencies, and resources.
• Developing joint clinical training programs for students of physical and occupational therapy in real community-based field settings within UNRWA centers.
• Implementing awareness and community health activities (e.g., medical days, educational campaigns, and workshops) to raise awareness about the rights of persons with disabilities and the importance of early intervention.
• Contributing to the capacity building of staff working in UNRWA rehabilitation centers through training workshops and professional development courses delivered by the university center.
• Exchanging data and research expertise in the field of community-based rehabilitation to support the development of evidence-based policies and practices.
• Supporting efforts to integrate persons with disabilities into society, education, and employment through joint events and initiatives.
• Ensuring institutional sustainability of the partnership by establishing a long-term collaborative framework and monitoring the impact of implemented programs.
