Overview

The "Dr. Hasan Hawamdeh’s Award for Outstanding Research Project" was established based on the decision of the Deans' Council at the Hashemite University (decision number and date) subsequent to a placement from the Faculty Council of the Faculty of Medicine. The award is granted annually at the end of an open scientific day in which the results of participating research projects are presented and is organized by the Department of Basic Medical Sciences. Participating research projects are evaluated by an evaluation panel consisting of faculty members at the Hashemite University and other local institutions who are distinguished researchers in a wide variety of medical research. The award aims to encourage the competitive drive among students of the Faculty Medicine within the course of a Research Project, encourage them to excel in scientific research, and urge them to develop their research and creative capabilities in the fields of medical sciences. The award is presented to the winning groups in the first three places that obtain the highest evaluation given by the evaluation committee, so that each student from each winning group receives the award.
