Quality Assurance

About us: 

The office of accreditation and quality assurance in the Faculty of Medicine was established in 2021. This was preceded by the formation of a supreme quality committee which oversees other faculty quality subcommittees. These committees were formed in preparation to the accreditation assessment by the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions (AQACHEI). 

The office of accreditation and quality assurance monitors academic and administrative activities and works on maintaining its quality and develop improvement plans. 

Our vision and goals: 

We aim to maintain quality and fulfill accreditation requirements in academic programs at the faculty of medicine. Our goals are to achieve quality indicators by AQACHEI in Jordan, and thereafter fulfill the requirement of international accreditation bodies, such as the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME).

To achieve our objectives, our office collaborates with the Deanship of Academic development and international outreach. Our office head is appointed as a liaison at the Faculty of Medicine for the Deanship of Academic development and international outreach, to coordinate and facilitate work between the two faculties.

Our roles: 

-    Periodically monitor quality by collecting and analyzing data regarding different quality indicators 
-    Develop the tools and forms used to assess and measure quality
-    Prepare quality reports and suggest plans to improve quality
-    Participate and coordinate self-assessment study, and combine the results with suggested quality improvement plans
-    Develop administrative principles and revise organizational structural at the faculty.
