Professor Suja Hamed, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at The Hashemite University, received Mr. Taha Al-Kubaisi, General Manager of Dalas Natural Products Company, a subsidiary of the Jordanian Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company, as part of the Faculty’s efforts to strengthen collaboration with the pharmaceutical industry.

During the meeting, Professor Hamed introduced Mr. Al-Kubaisi to the Faculty’s “Tracks” Program for Bachelor of Pharmacy students. The program is considered one of the Faculty’s distinctive initiatives, designed to enhance students’ and graduates’ competencies by connecting academic learning with practical and specialized skills that meet labour market needs.

The meeting also included an extended discussion on potential areas of collaboration with Dalas Natural Products Company, as a company specialized in the manufacturing of herbal pharmaceutical products. The discussion focused on opportunities that could enhance students’ practical experience and provide them with specialized training and professional development in the field of herbal-based pharmaceutical industries.

The visit included a tour of the Faculty’s laboratories and facilities, attended by the Vice Dean, heads of departments, and assistant deans. During the tour, Mr. Al-Kubaisi was briefed on the educational, research, and training capabilities available to students at the Faculty.

Both parties emphasized that this visit represents a foundation for future collaboration in supporting students and graduates and preparing them for the pharmaceutical industry labour market. Such collaboration further strengthens integration between the academic and industrial sectors and supports the Faculty’s commitment to aligning pharmaceutical education with practical applications and market needs.
