The Hashemite University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Thursday with Lamis Company for Detergents Industry, aiming to strengthen collaboration in innovation and applied scientific research, bridge the gap between academic outputs and market needs, and empower students to develop entrepreneurial projects that support the industrial sector in detergents and personal care products.

The MoU was signed by Professor Dr. Awni Atrdat, Vice President of the University, and Dr. Ola Barik, Director of Development and Digital Transformation at Lamis Company, in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Science, and the Director of the Center for Innovation and Creative Projects.

Following the signing, the Lamis delegation visited the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, where they were given a guided tour of the specialized laboratories in cosmetic and industrial pharmacy, to explore the college’s advanced research capabilities and technical infrastructure.

During the visit, the Dean of the Faculty discussed potential areas of joint research cooperation and the possibility of providing high-quality training opportunities for students in the cosmetic pharmacy track, thereby promoting the integration of academic learning with practical industry experience.

The Dean also presented an introductory video showcasing the academic programs offered by the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, its areas of excellence, and the practical skills embedded within its curriculum.

Dr. Ola Barik and the Lamis Company delegation expressed their admiration for the well-equipped laboratories, particularly those focused on cosmetic research, affirming their significance in advancing applied research and future collaborative initiatives between the two parties.
