Research Interests

One of the major objectives of research field in the department of medical imaging is to establish studies which help in developing numerous academic aspects inside the university, and in enhancing the university's capability to fulfil its national and international commitments that meet the needs and challenges of the area, whether in Jordan or abroad. Academic research and publication cover the following fields:

A- Clinical studies at ultra-high and high field Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
- MRI Assessment of the efficacy of bone marrow-derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells in the treatment of spinal cord injuries (collaboration with Cell Therapy Center (CTC)/ University of Jordan).
- MRI assessment of normal appearing brain tissues in patients with multiple sclerosis (collaboration with King Hussein Medical Center, Jordanian Royal Medical Services and University of Jordan).
- Mesenchymal Stem Cells labeling & tracking using nanoparticles (collaboration with Cell Therapy Center (CTC)/ University of Jordan).
- Myelin Mapping and Negative Symptoms of Schizophrenia (Collaboration with the University of Western Ontario, CA and the University of Nottingham, UK).
- Central Nervous System (CNS) T1, T2, T2*, MTR, iron, cortical thickness mapping and volumetry measurements in neurodegenerative and autoimmune diseases (collaboration with King Hussein Medical Center, Jordanian Royal Medical).
- Association between Abdominal fat, hepatic fat content measured using MRI with dietary and lifestyle factors (collaboration with King Hussein Medical Center, Jordanian Royal Medical Services and University of Jordan).
- Imaging of Hydatid Cysts B- Dosimetry studies
