An academic program was established at the master’s level in the year (2009) under the name of Environmental Sciences and Management in order to conduct applied research and to reflect on environmental preservation and sustainability. With the efforts of the distinguished scientific cadre in the department, many master's degree holders have graduated and  defended their theses and research projects on many environmental topics tackling areas of ground and surface water modeling, in addition to water treatment and wastewater reclamation and reuse in a manner that ensures a reduction in depletion.
