These standards include both General Accreditation Standards and Special Accreditation Standards for academic programs. The General Standards cover institutional requirements such as governance, quality assurance systems, human resources, student services, and infrastructure. The Special Standards define program-level requirements, including curriculum design, credit hours, learning outcomes, assessment methods, faculty qualifications, and laboratory and computing resources relevant to engineering and computing disciplines.
The program is developed, implemented, and continuously reviewed in accordance with these standards to ensure compliance with national quality requirements and to maintain academic excellence and consistency.
The qualification has also been also aligned and “placed” within the Jordan National Qualifications Framework (JNQF), ensuring its level, learning outcomes, and competencies are consistent with the national qualification descriptors and framework requirements.
In addition, the program aligns with the academic policies of The Hashemite University and incorporates international best practices in Software Engineering education. The program is currently undergoing accreditation according to the EUR-ACE Framework Standards and Guidelines, reflecting its commitment to international quality standards and enhancing the competitiveness of its graduates at both the national and international levels.
