The Bachelor's program in Occupational Therapy at the Hashemite University, which was established in 1999, has received special accreditation from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research through the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions.

The program is also internationally recognized by the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT) since 2006. This prestigious international recognition is considered a major achievement for the program, its students, and its graduates at the Hashemite University. The faculty and administrative staff in the department are committed to maintaining this international recognition, which is reviewed by the federation every seven years.

 The most recent recognition was granted in 2020 and is valid until 2027.
