Research interests in the Basic Medical Sciences Department focus on studying the mechanisms of diseases (such as diabetes and cardiovascular diseases) and the impact of environmental and nutritional factors on them, understanding organ functions at the cellular and molecular levels, as well as developing new treatments and preventative measures, with a particular focus on chronic and infectious diseases and how to promote public health through proper nutrition.
The Department of Allied Basic Medical Sciences supports and encourages faculty members to submit various types of scientific research projects in order to obtain the necessary financial and technical support from the Deanship of Scientific Research and Graduate Studies at the university.
