The goal of the program is to produce competent, skilled practitioners who can undergo different imaging procedures in hospitals, clinics, research laboratories and industry, professionally. Furthermore, students are prepared to be good researchers who can pursue their studies in the future. So, the program was designed to:
1.Provide students with the necessary clinical and didactic experience to become competent, effective practitioners of medical imaging.
2.Provide students with the skills required to protect patients, themselves and others from unnecessary radiation exposure.
3.Provide the student with the skills to adapt and respond positively to change.
4.Develop critical, analytical problem-based learning skills and the transferable skills to prepare the student for graduate employment.
5.Enhance the development of the students' interpersonal skills.
6.Provide the student with opportunities for shared multidisciplinary and inter- professional learning with other allied health professions.
7.Assist the student to develop the skills required for both autonomous practice and team-working.
8.Provide the students with the knowledge and skills to equip them for a career in diagnostic imaging.
9.Develop the students' competence in applying clinical skills to the practice of Medical Imaging.
10.Develop the critical and analytical powers of the student in relation to diagnostic imaging.
11.Promote faculty research.
