The Department of Educational Psychology and Counseling is one of the departments within the Faculty of Educational Sciences. This department carries the university's vision to be a distinguished local and international department in the educational and psychological aspects. Its mission is centered on preparing a generation capable of advancing knowledge, scientific research, serving the community, and connecting theoretical aspects with practical application, aiming to achieve comprehensive quality in learning and teaching.

The Department of Educational Psychology and Counseling at The Hashemite University was established to fulfill the university's mission with integrity and to achieve its goals competently, within the framework of principles of intellect, ethics, and responsibility. The department aims to produce graduates who are academically specialized and personally integrated, both intellectually and emotionally, with the skills necessary to provide family and educational counseling services to various segments within academic, social, health, and psychological institutions. This is to contribute to the development and elevation of society in accordance with established national constants and values.

The department grants a bachelor's degree in Psychological Counseling, a master degree in Psychological Counseling with specializations in family and educational counseling, and with tracks in thesis and comprehensive exams. Additionally, it offers a master degree in Educational Psychology with tracks in thesis and comprehensive exams.

The department includes a distinguished group of professors in the fields of Educational Psychology, Psychological Counseling, and Psychological Assessment, each with diverse experiences in these areas. The department aims to offer a variety of programs and postgraduate studies soon that will enhance the services required by the community.
