Welcome to the Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics Department

The Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics department is one of the six major departments in the Faculty of Applied Medicals Sciences (FAMS) at the Hashemite University. The department was established in the year of 1999 based on the vision and mission of the faculty.

The department works mainly to prepare qualified students to work in the fields of nutrition and food science by providing students with the best educational opportunities that qualify them to work efficiently in the specialty of clinical nutrition and food safety. Students are trained to be ready to work in the various fields of nutrition, in addition to introducing students to job opportunities. Students can benefit from the grants and vacancies available to them, and thus achieve excellence in the quality of graduates at the local and regional levels.

The department offers:

-Bachelor degree in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics- Undergraduate Program

-Master degree in Medical Nutrition Therapy and Food Safety -Postgraduate Program

The department also includes a group of the best faculty members with various academic ranks who are known for their scientific, teaching and research competence. The practical training of students is supervised by members of the Field Training Committee who are competent and experienced. Through this staff, the department contributes to promoting proper nutrition by implementing many Community service events and related research activities.
