The Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences was established at the Hashemite University in 1999 to offer a Bachelor's program consisting of 136 credit hours distributed over four academic years. Since its establishment, the department has been dedicated to enhancing the quality of academic outcomes by teaching and training students in the latest scientific developments in the field of Medical Laboratory Sciences. Our mission is to provide graduates with the essential knowledge and practical skills necessary for excellence in laboratory testing, ensuring the highest standards of quality and accuracy, and promoting applied scientific research.

In alignment with the Hashemite University vision and mission to provide advanced educational and research services, the Master's program in Medical Laboratory Sciences was launched in 2009. This program offers an educational and research environment that promotes creative thinking and high professionalism across various disciplines of Medical Laboratory Sciences. It enables students to acquire the skills required to conduct and publish scientific research in internationally and locally recognized journals and encourages them to pursue doctoral studies at leading international universities. It also provides the labor market with highly qualified professionals in the field of modern Medical Laboratory Sciences that provide healthcare and diagnostics at the highest level, serving the local community and other Arab and international countries.

The department is proud to have a distinguished team of faculty members who hold advanced degrees from prestigious international universities in various disciplines, including biochemistry and clinical chemistry, diagnostic hematology and blood banking, diagnostic molecular biology, immunology and serology, diagnostic microbiology, and anatomy, histology, and physiology.

To achieve the aforementioned goals, the department:
