The department was established in 1998. Since then, the department has made impressive steps in establishing itself in the country.
This achievement came through a continuous and concerted effort committed to reforming the philosophy of engineering education and integrating modern teaching methods and technologies in a more compact and more focused curriculum that meets the requirements of the new millennium. Over the past few years, the department managed to attract young and ambitious faculty members holding Ph.D. degrees from a variety of renowned international universities.
We consider research as an essential aspect for the continuous improvement of the educational material on one hand and for our professional and academic development on the other. We work hard to develop and maintain strong relations with industry and the wider community and we welcome real partnerships and cooperation with other universities locally and internationally.
