The Department of Sustainable Tourism at Hashemite University offers a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management and a Master’s degree in Managing and Conserving Tourism and Heritage Sites. All courses in the department are taught in English, with the exception of the second European language courses. The department has been honored to receive the Hashemite University Award of Distinction, recognizing the exceptional achievements of both our students and our dedicated academic staff.

Our students stand out for their strong personalities, ability to express themselves confidently, and their extensive knowledge across various social and academic topics. This breadth of knowledge is nurtured through continuous engagement with institutions across Jordanian society. In addition, our students acquire proficiency in a second European language—either French, or Spanish.

The multidisciplinary expertise of our faculty supports internationally recognized research in diverse areas of tourism and heritage. Our faculty’s collaboration fosters highly specialized research with an emphasis on applying the latest technological innovations in tourism and heritage. Faculty members actively participate in both international and national projects and research, both within and outside Jordan. They have published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and periodicals and have contributed translations of significant works in tourism, archaeology, and epigraphy.

Thanks to this solid foundation, our students are exceptionally well-prepared for their professional lives. Over 90% of our graduates secure employment directly after graduation, with some even starting their careers before completing their studies. Graduates from our department, working in both private and public sectors across Jordan, have earned a strong reputation for being hardworking, dedicated, and possessing excellent communication skills.
