The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is known for the quality of its academic programs offered by its various universities, including the Hashemite University. In line with the Hashemite vision and the university’s mission to elevate the nation and provide the highest standards of educational and health services, the Occupational Therapy Program was established in the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences in 1999. It became one of the first bachelor's programs specializing in this field in Jordan and the Arab world.

Since its inception, the program at the Hashemite University has stood out by keeping pace with the latest scientific developments in the field of occupational therapy. This has been achieved through the recruitment of academic and research expertise, as well as the adoption of a curriculum tailored to meet the actual needs of the profession. The program is designed to provide students with full opportunities to acquire the globally recognized knowledge and skills essential for occupational therapy.

Over the years, the Occupational Therapy Program has proven its excellence by graduating cohorts of skilled and distinguished occupational therapists who have continuously contributed to delivering high-level medical rehabilitation services.
