Welcome to the webpage of Department of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) at the Hashemite University.
The department was established at the beginning of the 1999-2000. At the onset of 2002-2003 the International Relations and Strategic Studies Program was added to the department, which offers a bachelor degree in International Relations and Strategic Studies. HSS's council consists of six faculty members: four associate professors and two assistant professors.
The department offers two core courses at the University level (Military Sciences, and National Education) and several elective courses at the University level as well (e.g. Sociology, Human Culture, Islamic Thought, History and Civilization of Jordan, Jerusalem civilization and history).
