This course provides nursing students with the essential knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed in
providing nursing care for patients with psychological, emotional, social, and behavioral disturbances.
This course introduces the principles and basic concepts of psychiatric mental health nursing and its
applications. The course is based on a holistic and humanistic framework, emphasizing critical
thinking, caring, and therapeutic nursing interventions. Nursing process forms the foundation of
decision-making and encompasses all significant actions taken by nurses in providing relevant mental
health care to all clients
