This course provides a comprehensive study of the musculoskeletal anatomy of the human body, emphasizing relationships among structure, function, and human movement. It covers bones, joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and associated neurovascular structures, with particular attention to the upper and lower extremities, spine, and trunk. The course also addresses surface anatomical landmarks, joint classifications and movements, and the attachments, innervation, and primary actions of major muscles. Anatomical knowledge is integrated with practical applications through identification, palpation, and surface anatomy, providing a foundation for understanding human movement, movement analysis, and occupational performance, and for subsequent coursework in kinesiology, assessment, rehabilitation, and occupational therapy. |
