This advanced and integrated fieldwork course prepares students for transition to entry-level occupational therapy practice. Under professional supervision and with progressively increasing independence, students assume responsibility for the occupational therapy process, including evaluation and occupational performance analysis, establishment of priorities and goals, intervention planning, implementation and modification, outcome evaluation, and discharge and follow-up planning. Students further develop competencies in caseload and time management, documentation, professional communication, client and family education, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Emphasis is placed on advanced clinical reasoning, decision-making, safety, ethics, professional responsibility, and demonstration of competencies required for entry-level occupational therapy practice. |
