Quality Control in medical laboratories focuses on ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory testing. The course introduces basic statistical concepts vital for maintaining valid laboratory methods over time. Students will explore quality control processes, quality assurance, and quality assessment principles. Through detailed study of control materials, error analysis, and the implementation of internal and external quality assessments, the course equips students with the essential skills needed to manage quality in a clinical laboratory setting. Topics include systematic and random errors, control charts, Lean production, and proficiency testing.
