Defining health care modalities of adult patients and their families is a starting point of this course.. Physiologic; psychologic; and sociologic responses of adult patients with acute or chronic problems are essential milestones of this course. Emphases are placed on the roles of the professional nurse in the assessment of the patient's condition, planning of nursing care, nursing intervention, and evaluation of care in acute, chronic and care settings.Theoretical content includes the basic terminology, common causes, specific diagnostic procedures, and nursing management of each specific alteration in health. |
