This course advances the study of the occupational therapy process and methods, emphasizing integration of assessment findings and occupational performance analysis into intervention planning, implementation, and modification. It addresses the selection and application of restorative, compensatory, preventive, and adaptive approaches according to client needs and goals and the use of occupation, activity, skills training, task modification, and environmental adaptation to support performance and participation. The course also covers planning of individual and group interventions, development of health-supporting habits, routines, and roles, client and caregiver education, outcome measurement, evaluation of intervention effectiveness, discharge, and follow-up. Emphasis is placed on developing clinical reasoning, problem-solving, and therapeutic decision-making and integrating person-centered, occupation-based, and evidence-informed practice across diverse occupational performance situations. |
