This course introduces the physiology of acute and chronic pain and their impacts on patients function and introduces physical therapy evaluation and managements of the chronic pain. Several conditions that result in and from pain including chronic disease, disordered and injuries such as rheumatic disease, fibromyalgia and the victims of torturing will be discussed. Pathophysiology and etiology of these diseases will also be included. |
