:
This course introduces assistive technology used in rehabilitation, particularly those require physical therapist attention and interventions. The discussion includes an in-depth review of the principles and practices of orthotics and prosthetics as applied by a physical therapist and analyze their use during ADL. This includes a survey of the basic biomechanical principles utilized in applying orthotic and prosthetic appliances, as well as principles of patient application, training, and management of complications.
