The course includes an introduction to the art criticism, its origin, and its development. Criticism and art education. The course also identifying the most prominent schools and methods of criticism, defining the steps of criticism, its main hub, and its foundations such as: idea, subject and content, form and composition, values (aesthetic, artistic, creative), symbol and reference, foundations and elements of artwork, art methods and schools. In addition, with the participation of students, the course displaying artistic models in different fields, describing, analyzing and interpreting artworks. Furthermore, Training students on methods of employing the steps and methods of artistic criticism in reading, analyzing and interpreting works of art in art education classes in schools, and clarifying its role in developing critical thinking skills among learners. |
