This course introduces students to knowledge and skills of diagnostic methods including history taking, extra and intra oral examination, charting, radiographic and examination. Introduction to the x-ray machine, different types of films (different sizes, intra and extraoral films and film holders. Students are expected to practice performing different intraoral radiographs on dummy heads (periapical, bitewings, occlusal) and processing these films manually or by automatic processors. |
