This course introduces student to basic knowledge of normal facial, dental and occlusal development and recognize deviations from normal. Also provides basic principles of orthodontic wire bending and develop the manual dexterity and skills involved in wire bending. Later courses, students will be able to understand the basic principle of removable, fixed and functional orthodontic appliances. Student will learn the etiology of malocclusion using examination and radiographs diagnostic tools. Also learn treatment planning for orthodontic patient orthodontic and treatment methods in later courses. |
