This course introduces dental student to the physiological aspects related to oral and facial structures including the saliva, mechanisms of taste and olfaction, nociception, mechanosensation, dynamics of mastication and swallowing, mechanism of speech, bone and calcium metabolism, dynamics of temporomandibular joint and occlusion, physiology of eruption and some applied comparative orofacial physiology. |
