This course introduces dental student to the basic topics in microscopic and submicroscopic anatomy of the human body (tissues, cells and organelles). It presents the basic four types of tissues (epithelium, connective tissue, muscular and nervous). In addition, histology structure of several body systems including digestive, nervous, immune, lymphatic and reproductive systems. Practical part will enable students to use examine and analyze the different specimen tissues using both light and electron microscopy micrographs. Students should be able to differentiate the various histological structures from each other. basic tissues processing phases will be explained |
