Course Discription
:
This course studies the importance of risk and insurance in personal and business affairs and the different methods of hedging against risk. Special attention is focused on the role of private insurance in handling risk. Areas examined in the course include financial analysis of exposure to loss, property and liability insurance. Specific attention is directed on issues such as morale hazard, adverse selection, the nature of insurable risks, and related public considerations.
