The course aims to deepen the student’s understanding of the philosophical, cultural and psychological foundations of the modern curriculum, increase his understanding of the curriculum’s components, and introduce the modern trends in building the curriculum and its applications in Jordan, the electronic curriculum and its applications in education, and modern educational approaches to building and developing the curriculum, such as Introduction to concepts and learners' need, society's problems and issues, environmental approach, definition of curriculum quality standards and their applications, the relationship of the school curriculum with identity, citizenship, knowledge and informatics society, and the curriculum's roles in developing creative and critical thinking, introducing units of study and a historical overview of them, and the relationship of units with the curriculum. |
