addresses modern trends and issues in mathematics curricula and teaching methods in the early grades, groups as the basis for teaching numbers, and deals with characteristics and groups of (natural numbers, integers numbers, rational numbers, irrational numbers, and real numbers) and operations on them, mental arithmetic and teaching methods, the principles of numbers theory such as the greatest common denominator, the smaller common multiplier, divisibility, ratio and proportion and proportionality, percentage, powers and roots and teaching methods, analysis of factors, and the concept of function. |
