This module consists of five themes as follows:
THEME 1: CURRICULUM
In this theme, student teachers deepen their knowledge on the types, principles, components of the curriculum and the Jordanian curriculum . They also deepen their understanding of planning, and what makes it effective, flexible, and bottom-up in which it comes from the learner's needs, and not from the teacher's perspectives.
THEME 2: PEDAGOGICAL CONTENT KNOWLEDGE (PCK)
In this theme, student teachers deepen knowledge and understanding of teaching and learning that can be applied in different ways to the resolution of practical issues in teaching.
THEME 3: ASSESSMENT
In this theme, student teachers apply a variety of assessment types, using informal and formal assessment procedures, while considering the general characteristics and purpose of each assessment type.
THEME 4: SUBJECT INQUIRY
In this theme, student teachers identify an area or issue in their subject that they want to dig deeper into and investigate its impact on students learning, with reference to literature to inform their knowledge.
THEME 5: SUBJECT FOR THE FUTURE
In this theme, the student-teachers consider means of a professional development plan. They look at ways of developing disciplinary and pedagogical knowledge while monitoring their progress as professional teachers.
