This module consists of five themes as follows:
THEME 1: CURRICULUM & PLANNING
This them explores the types, principles, components of the curriculum in general, and the Jordanian curriculum . It allows student teachers to develop an understanding of planning, and what makes it effective, flexible, and bottom-up in which it comes from the learner's needs, and not from the teacher's perspectives.
THEME 2: PEDAGOGICAL CONTENT KNOWLEDGE (PCK)
This theme explores the different types of PCKs and enable student teachers to develop knowledge and understanding of teaching and learning that can be applied in different ways to the resolution of practical issues in teaching.
THEME 3: ASSESSMENT
In this theme, student teachers describe and evaluate a variety of assessment types and start building coherent systems for their classes, using informal and formal assessment procedures, while considering the general characteristics and purpose of each assessment type. They also develop an awareness of learners’ problems in informal and formal testing and utilize assessment to inform students’ learning.
