Course Discription : Discounted cash flow analysis and valuation, and then proceeds to more advanced topics in valuation, and analyzing problems in observing and timing real estate market performance. discussion of Real Estate Investment Trusts and issues relating their performance; a discussion of the role of property (both direct and indirect) in a multiple-asset portfolio and an Excel workshop wrap up this part of the course. We focus on the use of real options in project valuation, and consider the implications of this methodology over traditional NPV analysis. Secondary mortgage markets, real options methodologies to value real estate debt.
